Ong Shunmugam remains an inspiration into unconventional designs and reworking of textures.

We were roped in to assist them for their Cheongsam 2020 lookbook, providing flowers which were incorporated as accessories on set.

Cheongsam 2020’s focus lies in the reworking of batik onto fabric from recycled materials. They are reconceptualising seasonal attire and putting a new perspective on fashion. At the same time, they have reached out to us in their hopes of incorporating flowers in their shoot, tying in with their use of handmade textile flowers in their design.

Drawing from their conceptual framework, we provided an array of interestingly coloured and textured flowers which has since been remade into the elegant and interesting accessories seen in their lookbook material.
